Fallout Creative Community receives honors at Film Competition

Members of The Fallout Creative Community mashed together the movies "Harry Potter" and "Animal House" to produce their own film as part of a competition in Aberdeen SD last weekend. Eight of the thirteen actors were people with developmental disabilities at this event called the Fischgaard Short Film Project. The movie won four honors in the awards ceremony.

Out of 20 films The Fallout's "Magical Frat" received runner up for "Best Film" and in the People's Choice vote: "Best Use of Line of Dialogue", "Best Use of Prop" and runner up for "Best Use of Character."

The competition gives area film makers instructions on Friday night such as movies to mash, a line of dialogue, a prop and a character that must be used in producing their film to be ready for viewing on Sunday.

Members of The Fallout Team included Rob Wedeman, Beth Anne Carson, Ryan Pederson, Sandy Glover, Joann Moffenbier, Bruce Likness, Jeff Duncan, Alex Florence and Fallout Director, Dan Cleberg.

The Fallout Creative Community is an organization that seeks to be a vibrant arts community that embraces people with limitations to experience creativity together.
